The documentary is about how professional video gaming turned into a job. Its starting point is the arcade competitions of the eighties. From there it draws a line to the large prize tournaments of today. The prizes are now counted in millions of dollars and the tournaments are held all over the world. The film’s own argument is this: most players never reach the top, they are exploited and sometimes left behind. It says that even so the field produces stars of its own. Walter Day and Billy Mitchell are among those who speak. Mike Pasley’s American documentary, eighty eight minutes long, was completed in 2008.
