What Fraktus Is About
Fraktus is a German electronic band formed in the early eighties; they claim to have invented techno and nobody remembers them. Twenty-five years on, their manager Roger Dettner tries to get the three of them back together. They have scattered into completely different lives and have not spoken in years. What Dettner is after is not the music but the money, which makes the whole comeback a fabrication from the start. Lars Jessen directs a mockumentary: there never was a band called Fraktus. Rocko Schamoni, Heinz Strunk and Jacques Palminger play the group and Devid Striesow the manager. Real figures from German electronic music turn up as themselves.
