Freightened: The Real Price of Shipping

The documentary takes up sea freight. Most of the goods in the world are carried by ship. But the business is mostly out of sight. The film explains how the industry works. The journey of the containers is followed. Ports and routes are shown. Costs and competition are taken up. The conditions of those working on the ships are covered as well. The harm done to the environment is a heading of its own. Fuel and pollution are argued over. People working in the field speak in the film. The subject is an industry that stays out of sight. Sailors and specialists tell it. Trevor Hayes and Eric Wiberg appear in the fifty four minute documentary, a Spanish production Denis Delestrac finished in 2016.
