Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel

A British science fiction comedy. Three friends are sitting in a pub. All three are science fiction enthusiasts; one has been fired, one is disappointed, one is the sort who knows the rule for everything. They go to the toilet, and when they come out the time has changed. A woman in the pub tells them there is a leak: a door in this toilet opens onto different points in time. From there the film moves between the same pub at different times. The characters meet their own past and future selves, re-enter the same scene from another angle, and every correction produces a new problem. The joke is in the knowledgeable one. He knows all the rules of time travel by heart, and saying them helps nothing. What the narrative is interested in is not paradox but character: none of the three is happy with his life, and when they see what they become, that is the real matter. The scale is small. Almost all of it takes place in one location; there are no effects, little explanation, and everything runs on talk. Chris O'Dowd, Dean Lennox Kelly, Marc Wootton and Anna Faris are in the cast.
