What God Bless You Is About
Nancy is a gambler’s wife. The two of them live in poverty. But Nancy does not let it show. She keeps up her appearance. Inwardly she is waiting to be delivered. She dreams of a rich man who will take her out of this life. One night she waits at the door of a casino. There she talks with an old beggar. The conversation goes on and on. Not long afterwards a mysterious man appears. He offers her a life of luxury. A decision now stands in front of Nancy. The account is built on that offer. Zully Moreno and Arturo de Córdova take the leads, with Florindo Ferrario and Enrique Chaico also in the cast, in Luis César Amadori’s Argentine film of 1948.
