Goyo

Goyo works as a guide at the Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, recites everything he knows about Van Gogh from memory, and spends his day in the same order to the minute. He has Asperger's syndrome. Eva, the new security guard at the museum, disrupts that order and Goyo falls in love with her. Eva is a woman whose marriage has collapsed and who has lost her belief in love. Marcos Carnevale wrote it with advice from foundations working in the field. The film presents Goyo neither as a miracle nor as a problem; what the man wants is simple and the people around him struggle to take it seriously. Nicolás Furtado and Nancy Dupláa star. It went out on Netflix and reached a wide audience in Argentina. Who it is for: viewers who like romantic drama and stories about neurological difference. Who it is not for: anyone who dislikes emotional manipulation.
