Green Day: ¡Cuatro!

The documentary goes inside Green Day. The camera is in the band’s own studio in Oakland. A working stretch of about a year and a half happens there. The band is putting together a trilogy of albums. Songs get written and pulled into shape in the studio. The camera shows that process in a raw state. There are rehearsals, arguments and repeated takes. Small live shows run through it. They play in New York, in Austin, in Newport Beach and in Los Angeles. The rooms are small and the audience is close. The documentary does not dress any of it up. What comes through is the world of the band itself. Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt appear in the seventy five minute documentary, an American production Tim Wheeler finished in 2012.
