What Guilty Hands Is About
A district attorney has no liking at all for his daughter’s fiancé, a man who cannot be trusted with women. In the end he commits a murder himself and believes he has planned it perfectly. He then tries to pin the crime on the fiancé’s lover. The film is about a man who knows the law using that knowledge to his own advantage, and it shows the person who dispenses justice suspending his own rule. The production belongs to the period before the censorship rules of American cinema tightened. Lionel Barrymore and Kay Francis appear in W. S. Van Dyke’s sixty nine minute American film, completed in 1931.
