What Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd Is About
The documentary looks at Syd Barrett being pushed out of the band he co-founded and at his withdrawal from music altogether, tracing the road from an inventive musician to a figure who grew unstable and then disappeared. It was begun by Storm Thorgerson, Barrett's childhood friend and the designer of Pink Floyd's covers, who shot most of the interviews and died in 2013. Roddy Bogawa completed it years later. David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Nick Mason speak. The film gives no definitive answer for why Barrett withdrew, and its inability to is an answer of a kind.
