Head Burst

Markus is a successful architect and he carries something he has told nobody: he is attracted to children. He is disgusted with himself and keeps his life narrow so as to harm no one. He meets a woman, and the woman has a small son. At the point where he thinks he cannot trust himself, Markus decides to withdraw. Savaş Ceviz's German film deliberately builds the subject from the point of view of a potential offender and asks a single question: how is this kept from turning into a crime. The film excuses nothing and gives the viewer no comfort. Max Riemelt takes the lead. It caused argument in Germany; critics wrote that it neither absolves him nor makes a monster of him.
