Holland: The Living Delta

The documentary looks at the delta region of the Netherlands. This delta was shaped by human hands. Water and land changed places over centuries. The film follows the creatures living in that area. The account has five protagonists. One is the European beaver. One is the white-tailed sea eagle. One is a small fish called the stickleback. One is a rare blue butterfly. The last is the brown hare. The camera follows each of them through its own season. A year in the delta comes out of it. Bram van der Vlugt and Carice van Houten narrate. The film is the second part of a trilogy. Mark Verkerk directed the ninety six minute Dutch documentary of 2015.
