I Am Human

The documentary takes brain technology as its subject. At its centre are three people. Each of them has had a device placed in the brain. The devices are meant to restore lost function. One is paralysed and wants to use his hand again. One lost his sight later in life. One lives with Parkinson’s disease. The documentary follows their daily lives. The period after surgery is not easy. Even small gains take a long time. The film talks with scientists as well. Where the technology may lead is discussed. It is said the device that heals illness could also add ability. These questions are left without answers. Bryan Johnson and David Eagleman appear in the ninety minute documentary. It is an American production two directors finished in 2019.
