I Am the Law

At the centre of the account is a law professor. The man has taught for years. He then takes on the job of prosecutor. What he faces is organised crime. Corruption in the city is in his sights as well. The task turns out harder than it looked. He cannot get anywhere on his own. At that point he turns to his former students. The students take their place beside him. Together they begin to gather evidence. Their number and their youth turn the work in his favour. The account is built on that fight. The film runs crime and drama together. Edward G. Robinson and Barbara O’Neil take the leads, with John Beal and Otto Kruger also in the cast, in Alexander Hall’s American film of 1938.
