I Belong

The film is made of three separate stories. In the first there is a nurse. When she gets nervous she switches into English. That habit sets off a dispute at work. In the second story there is a translator. A book is offered to her. But she does not believe what it says. Even so she is talked into taking the translation. In the third story there is an elderly woman and her daughter. A relative wants to give them money. The sum is a million kroner. The offer humiliates them both. In none of the three stories does anyone mean harm. But everyone ends up hurting somebody. Laila Goody and Henriette Steenstrup take the leads in Dag Johan Haugerud’s Norwegian film of 2012.
