I Hate Love

Annie works as a doctor in Paris. She lives on her own. In her work she keeps no distance from her patients. She has a patient called Laurent. Laurent is living with HIV. The man will not budge from what he thinks. Annie wants to help him. In time that concern goes beyond the bounds of the work. In the same period she meets Richard. Richard is an actor and thinks a great deal of himself. A brief affair begins between them. Annie is caught between the two relationships. Jeanne Balibar and Jean-Quentin Châtelain take the leads, with Laurent Lucas also in the cast, in Laurence Ferreira Barbosa’s French film of 1997.
