What I Think I Do Is About
Bob and Brendan, roommates at college, meet again years later at the wedding of mutual friends. Back then both of them ignored the tension between them: Bob eventually faced what he felt, Brendan said nothing at all. Now Brendan decides to speak. But Bob has someone with him, and it is no longer simple. Brian Sloan's film belongs to the independent romantic comedies of the nineties: a wedding weekend, old roommates, old friends, and one night in which everybody misreads everybody else. The cast is large and the film reduces nobody to a single line. It is one of the few films of that decade to treat gay characters with this much lightness and ease.
