In a Dream

Isaiah Zagar is an artist who works in mosaic. He lives in Philadelphia. Over forty years he has covered the walls of the city. The surface he has covered runs past fifty thousand square feet. He works with broken glass, mirror and tile. The documentary was made by his son. The camera watches both the work and the home. His wife Julia has been beside him for years. But the marriage has reached a hard place. Halfway through the film the relationship comes apart. A very heavy period follows. The camera does not shut off during it. The line between the art and the life disappears. The film shows what that costs.
