In Praise of Nothing

The subject of the documentary is Nothing. The film sets Nothing up as a being that speaks. Nothing is tired of being misunderstood and tries to defend its case. The images were gathered from all over the world, with more than a hundred cinematographers contributing. The music is by Pascal Comelade and The Tiger Lillies. The narration is in simple, childlike verse, and the one reading it is Iggy Pop. The work turns the documentary form inside out on purpose and presents itself as a feelgood film. The only name listed in it is Iggy Pop’s. The eighty minutes rest on a single idea. Boris Mitić’s Croatian, French and Serbian coproduction was completed in 2019.
