What In Your Dreams Is About
Stevie and her younger brother Elliot watch their parents' marriage strain under money trouble. A book falls into their hands, drops them into the world of dreams, and they learn that a wish will be granted if they can find the Sandman. What they want is simple and impossible: the perfect family. The best thing here is the design of the dream world, built as a place with no fixed rules that keeps changing shape, guided by a talking stuffed bear. It is Alex Woo's first feature. He previously worked in design and storyboarding at Pixar and Lucasfilm. Simu Liu and Cristin Milioti voice the parents and Omid Djalili the Sandman. Netflix released it on 14 November 2025. Its flaws are pace and familiarity. The dream sequences start repeating themselves, and the pattern of children trying to fix their parents' marriage says nothing new. Who it is for: family animation viewers. Who it is not for: anyone looking for an original story.
