Xavier de Rosnay
Gaspard Augé What IRIS: A Space Opera by Justice Is About
The recording restages the live show the duo Justice carried through 2017 and 2018 in an empty, invisible space with no audience; it is not a concert film but a record of the show itself. At its centre is a suspended structure of thirteen independent moving frames, each carrying four rotating panels of LEDs, mirrors and warm lights that produce endless combinations. The structure keeps changing across the show, building a different visual landscape for every track played. The camera watches this arrangement with the patience of a rigorous documentary about the cosmos. André Chemetoff and Armand Beraud directed; Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé are on stage. It runs sixty-two minutes and dates from 2019.
