It Will Not End

The film is set in Croatia after the war. The narrator is a man called Djuro. Djuro is Roma and has a large family. He makes his living acting in adult films. We follow events through his mocking account. The man he tells about is a veteran called Martin. Martin is a soldier back from the war. He meets a young woman and falls for her. She works on the same set. She has a part in a version of Little Red Riding Hood. She also works for money on the side. To be with her a price is asked. He has to pay the man she works for. The account is built on that relationship. Ivan Herceg and Nada Šargin take the leads in Vinko Brešan’s Croatian and Serbian coproduction of 2008.
