Ryszard Kukliński is a senior colonel in the Polish army and one of the few people who sees the Warsaw Pact's war plans. What he sees is this: in any war, Poland is on both sides' nuclear target lists. He spends years passing documents to the CIA, living every day with the chance of being caught, and his wife and sons are inside that risk with him. A true story; in Poland Kukliński is still called both a traitor and a hero. Pasikowski builds the film not on action but on the state of constant alertness.
