What Jet Storm Is About
On a passenger flight from London to New York, one of the passengers says he will set off a bomb over the Atlantic. His small daughter was killed in an accident, and he believes the driver who hit her and drove on is aboard this aircraft. Nobody in the cabin knows what to do; the captain tries talking, the passengers divide among themselves, and the argument about who is right turns quickly into an argument about who can be sacrificed. The film stays almost entirely inside the cabin and takes its tension from how little room there is. Richard Attenborough and Stanley Baker appear in Cy Endfield’s ninety nine minute British film, completed in 1959.
