Johnny Depp: King of Cult

The documentary follows the acting career of Johnny Depp. He began in the work as a young star. In those years he was known for his looks. He then managed to get out of that position. He started choosing unconventional films. The people he plays are often outsiders. They are figures whose oddity is misread by those around them. Depp made a place of his own with those roles. The documentary describes how those choices were built. Jack Sparrow and Willy Wonka are the examples that stand out. The film is put together from archival footage and interviews. Tim Burton is among those who speak. Jerry Bruckheimer talks as well. Alice Cooper, Penélope Cruz and Stephen Graham also appear. The fifty seven minute documentary was directed by Danielle Winter. The production was finished in 2021.
