Jonathan Agassi Saved My Life

The documentary follows Jonathan Agassi, a well known performer in the adult film industry. He lives between Berlin and Tel Aviv, works in films and in live shows, and works as an escort besides. The demand of the industry is constant and leaves no room for a crisis; you have to deliver every time or you lose your place. Behind the confident smile is someone whose father stayed distant and who is very attached to his mother, and the gap between those two pictures keeps widening. Drugs begin to look like an easy way out. The director Tomer Heymann stayed beside him for eight years and on a footing of mutual trust. The film neither glorifies nor shames anyone; it looks at how long a person can hold on to himself. The hundred and six minute Israeli documentary was completed in 2018.
