Katrina Babies

The documentary is about Hurricane Katrina. The storm hit New Orleans in 2005. The levees broke and the city went under water. The film talks to people who were children then. They were between three and nineteen years old. They are adults now. Each of them describes what they remember. What being displaced meant is part of it. There was the damage that showed at once. There was also the damage that came later. It is the second kind the film is after. The director, Edward Buckles Jr, is of that generation himself and builds the account with people from it. The eighty one minute documentary is an American production finished in 2022.
