Bálint Révész and Dávid Mikulán's 2024 Hungarian documentary was shot on the streets of Budapest across ten years, with Sanyika, met as a child, at its centre. The footage begins like a skate video. As the children grow the tone changes; police, poverty and crime enter the record, and the narrative shows that shift without a break. The images were taken handheld and are often rough. The directors do not hide their own presence and question what the filming meant in these lives. Who it's for: viewers of long-form documentary and street narratives. Who it's not for: viewers for whom drug use and young people caught in violence would be difficult.
