Luca lost her family in an earthquake. The earthquake struck eastern Japan. Since that day she cannot speak. But she can sing. Her voice moves those who hear it. She plays and sings in the street. Her road takes her through several cities. Osaka, Tokyo and the northern provinces are part of the account. There are people beside her who help. One is a former teacher, another a companion on the road. The account moves back and forth between the years. The songs are sung live inside the film. Nijiro Murakami is in the cast as well. AiNA THE END and Hokuto Matsumura take the leads, with Suzu Hirose and Haru Kuroki also in the cast, in Shunji Iwai’s Japanese film of 2023.
