What Leaning Into the Wind: Andy Goldsworthy Is About
The documentary follows Andy Goldsworthy, the artist known for work made out of nature and mostly short lived. Thomas Riedelsheimer made a film with the same artist fifteen years earlier; this second one looks at how his work has changed along with his ageing body. The camera follows him on hillsides, along stone walls, up in branches and inside cities; when a piece is finished the wind or the water usually takes it away. His daughter Holly works alongside her father in the film. Rather than explain the art, the account chooses to watch it being made. The ninety seven minute production was completed in 2018.
