Leave No Trace

The documentary takes up sexual abuse in the Boy Scouts of America. Eighty two thousand men came forward to report that they had been abused. In February 2022 the organisation reached a settlement of two point seven billion dollars over those claims. It is the largest settlement of its kind to date. The film investigates a cover up stretching across a century. What it works with is first hand accounts, interviews, financial records and the organisation’s own archive. That archive is made up of files kept internally for years. The account gives no detail; it asks where the responsibility lies. Irene Taylor’s film, a hundred and eight minutes long, was completed in 2022.
