Let's Get Lost

Julie’s flat always has people in it. Steffen, Thomas and Mogens hang around there. The talk is mostly football. There is a big match next week. They argue about how to find the money for tickets. Mogens borrowed the sofa years ago. He has been sitting on it for thirteen years. He wants to be a composer. For now he lives on benefits. Julie’s mind is elsewhere. Her boyfriend René has disappeared. She thinks he is seeing somebody else. Over one week everybody says what is on their mind. The picture was shot in black and white. The script was only an outline and the actors improvised the dialogue. Sidse Babett Knudsen made her first screen appearance here. The ninety two minute film was named Danish film of the year at both of the country’s main awards in 1998, a Danish production Jonas Elmer finished in 1997.
