Reykjavik just before the crash of 2008. Three lives touch each other: Eik, who barely makes it to the end of the month and is raising her child alone; Sölvi, a former footballer who has gone into banking and is on his way up; and Mori, a writer who cut himself off from the world after losing his daughter years ago and has sunk into drink. All three are going down, each by their own road. Baldvin Zophoníasson's film was one of the most watched in Iceland in 2014 and took twelve Edda awards; it was also submitted as the country's Oscar entry. The telling is in no hurry, builds the three stories separately, and keeps the crash in the background. Hera Hilmar and Þorsteinn Bachmann take the leads.
