Gabriel is a sixteen-year-old Icelander. He goes to Liverpool on a summer language course and gets close to his roommate Markus. One night they kiss. Gabriel realises something he had not known until then. When the summer ends the two part as friends and Gabriel goes home to Iceland. At home and at school everyone senses that he has changed. Then Markus turns up as well. The film gives the same weight to what the young people around Gabriel are going through as it gives to him. Baldvin Zophoníasson directs and co-wrote the script with Ingibjörg Reynisdóttir. Ninety-three minutes. It was his first feature. It shows the world of teenagers without dressing it up: the parties, what goes unsaid at home, and the questions nobody asks.
