Little Hedghogs Have No Quills

The film is made of three separate stories. Children stand at the centre of all three. The account is told from their side. The grown ups stay in the background. It is the children’s own concerns that come forward. Their joys and their sorrows stand side by side. Some parts make you laugh and some are sad. The scenes are chosen from ordinary life. Each part stands on its own. The tone of the film does not talk down to children. It takes their feelings seriously. The title says as much about that attitude. Hedgehogs are born without their quills. Ivaylo Dzhambazov and Nikolay Neykov appear in the eighty four minute film, a Bulgarian production Dimitar Petrov finished in 1971.
