What Little Sharks Is About
Ingo washes dishes and his girlfriend has just left him. Returning a borrowed bar stool to the acting school in Essen, he walks straight into the auditions for next year's intake. He takes in Johannes, a broke applicant who did not get in, and the two of them decide to go to Munich and try again, hitchhiking there in whatever car will stop. Ali, who can talk his way through anything, joins them on the road. Sönke Wortmann's 1992 film became the youth comedy of a German generation; being broke, the motorway and the hunt for somewhere cheap to sleep matter as much as the dream of acting. It is where Jürgen Vogel, Kai Wiesinger and Gedeon Burkhard were first noticed.
