The Hong Kong police try a new answer to the wave of violent crime coming with the new arrivals from across the border: three men are pushed into the gang disguised as illegal immigrants, to break it from the inside. The plan runs with the knowledge of the Chinese authorities, but on the street nothing goes the way it did on paper, and who stands on which side keeps blurring. Michael Mak directed the sequel to the hard 1984 thriller made by his brother Johnny, who produces here. The distance between hunter and hunted never stops dissolving.
