What Louis & Luca: Mission to the Moon Is About

In the race to reach the Moon, Norway’s entry turns out to be Reodor, the inventor from the village of Flåklypa, and his friends. Reodor builds a rocket, Louis pushes the thing along, and Vigfus Skonken, who turns up to help, is actually after a rare substance in the moon dust that he has named after himself. Rasmus A. Sivertsen shot it frame by frame in stop motion, the fourth stop-motion film made in the world Kjell Aukrust drew. The clumsiness of handmade sets is not a flaw here but the source of the comedy, and the rocket lifts off wobbling exactly as much as it should. The space race is brought down to child scale and handed to a small village.
