What Lupin the Third: Tokyo Crisis Is About
Lupin's plan looks straightforward: stop two old glass photographic plates from reaching a mysterious art dealer named Mr Suzuki. It goes wrong. Goemon and Jigen are not at their most effective just then, and Fujiko is working her own angle as usual. Meanwhile Inspector Zenigata has acquired a companion in the chase: a young reporter called Maria. Maria has a connection to Mr Suzuki, and the more of it comes out the larger the business gets. Toshiya Shinohara directs, one of the feature-length Lupin films made for television. It is set in Tokyo. Action, pursuit, and the thing that is always true in this series: nobody entirely trusts anybody.
