Lynx

In the heart of the Jura a call carries through the forest and the silhouette of a lynx moves between the trees. A male is looking for his mate, an answer comes back, and a family begins that the film will follow across the seasons. Laurent Geslin spent six years after this shy animal, and describes waiting three months in the same hide, morning and evening, to catch a male calling twice. It is the first time a family of Eurasian lynx has been filmed like this in the wild. The patience of leaving a camera to wait is both the method and the subject. The Swiss and French production was completed in 2021.
