Mahaan

Gandhi Mahaan, a school headmaster raised on Gandhian principles, drops the rules one day at forty and takes a drink, and his wife leaves the house with their son. The man then changes his life entirely, goes into the liquor business with a friend, and over the years becomes one of the largest operators in the state. Then his grown son appears in front of him as a policeman. Karthik Subbaraj cast father and son with Vikram and his real son Dhruv Vikram, and that choice carries the weight of the story. It does not deliver a moral; both sides have their own truth and both go too far. It went out on Amazon. Who it is for: viewers who like Tamil crime drama and stories of generational conflict. Who it is not for: anyone wanting something short and plain.
