Maldeamores

The film is made of three separate stories. What all of them are about is the contradiction inside love. In the first a couple are shaken by the death of the wife’s mother and learn something they did not expect. In the second an old woman’s former husband is deposited on her doorstep while she is already living with someone else. In the third a man declares his love to a bus driver, and when it is not returned the thing reaches the point of a hostage taking. The work was shot in Puerto Rico. The account keeps humour and tragedy in the same place. Luis Guzmán appears in the film by Carlitos Ruiz Ruiz and Mariem Pérez Riera, completed in 2007.
