What Malli Raava Is About

Karthik and Anjali fall for each other at fourteen, but their families and circumstances pull them apart again and again. Years pass, both grow up, build other lives and their paths cross once more; this time the question is not whether they love each other but whether the place left by all that time is still standing. The film builds its love not from a single moment but from the same two people at different ages, and asks whether going back is possible at all. In Gowtam Tinnanuri’s hundred and twenty eight minute Telugu film, Sumanth plays Karthik and Aakanksha Singh plays Anjali, with Preethi Asrani and Abhinav Gomatam as their younger selves. It was completed in 2017.
