In the summer of 2011, as Madrid prepares for a papal visit and the streets fill with protest, a series of murders of elderly women comes to light. Of the two officers on the case, one stammers and keeps to himself, the other cannot control his anger. The film reveals the killer midway and shifts its tension to the catching. Its real interest is how narrow the distance is between the detectives' own disorders and the offender's; the narrative never says this and shows it scene by scene. Rodrigo Sorogoyen directed.
