Four married men make a single plan when their wives leave on a trip to Thailand: to have the kind of fun they had when they were young, inside fourteen hours. The plan is set up like a military operation, with a clock running, duties assigned and radio contact. But the wives have calculations of their own, and nothing goes as planned. Pang Ho-cheung's Hong Kong comedy takes its pattern from heroic and gangster pictures and applies it to married men: the same slow motion, the same solemn music, the same speeches about loyalty. The joke is entirely in that contrast. Eric Tsang and Jordan Chan are in the cast. The film did better in Hong Kong than expected and sequels followed.
