What Mi fido di te Is About
Two very different men in Milan lose their jobs on the same day. Both have debts and no plan whatsoever, and when it emerges that the poorer of the two already has some experience of stealing, they go into an unlikely partnership. Neither of them is any good at it, so every attempt falls apart further than the last. Massimo Venier’s film brings together Ale and Franz, a comedy duo well known in Italy, and gets its humour from how little the two characters have in common. Light and straightforward.
