Missing

A little girl vanishes while walking down a street. Three months pass and there is still no trace of her. Her mother Saori is afraid public interest is fading. The only place still following the case is a local television station. Then it comes out that Saori was at a concert at the hour her daughter disappeared. Rumours about the mother multiply on the internet after that. She and her husband Yutaka drift apart and argue without end. The second thing the film looks at is reporting itself, with a journalist and his crew caught between the truth and sensation. Satomi Ishihara and Munetaka Aoki appear in Keisuke Yoshida’s Japanese film of 2024, a hundred and nineteen minutes long.
