Mohra

Roma Singh is a journalist and a jailer's daughter. On a tour of the prison she is set upon by some of the inmates, and the only man who steps in is Vishal Agnihotri. She learns he is inside for four killings and starts digging. What comes out is this: when the courts failed to punish the men who attacked his sister and the woman he loved, Vishal took it into his own hands. Jindal, who owns her paper, gets him released, and Vishal goes to work for him. Then he finds out why he was let out. Rajiv Rai directs; two hours and fifty-seven minutes. Suniel Shetty plays Vishal, Raveena Tandon plays Roma and Naseeruddin Shah plays Jindal, with Akshay Kumar as a police inspector. It was among the biggest Indian earners of 1994, and its songs did at least as well as the film.
