Moonlight Tariff

Cora has a rule she made for herself: after a first date she never calls the man, however good the night was. He is the one who has to call, and within seventy two hours; if he does not, the matter is closed. The film tells how unbearable that rule is through the hours spent beside the telephone. Her conversations with her friends make up an important part of the account as well. It turns waiting into comic material without making anyone look ridiculous. The account also asks where the rule came from: did Cora choose it herself, or is it there because everyone around her does the same. Jasmin Tabatabai appears in Ralf Huettner’s ninety three minute German film, completed in 2001.
