What Die Musterknaben Is About
Docker and Dretzke are two police officers in Cologne, and the cases that land on them take them nowhere on the career ladder. When the state criminal office in Düsseldorf puts a flat under observation on suspicion that drugs are being sold there during the day, the night shift falls to these two. Docker takes a liking to Wanda, a Dutch barmaid, and tangles the job up by talking out of turn to impress her; in the end things surface that their Düsseldorf colleagues had not allowed for. Ralf Huettner directed. This is the first of three films of the same name; the three, made between 1997 and 2003, went out on ZDF, and this one also played in cinemas and was rated valuable by the German film and media board.
