Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku!

Bene, Boris, Jegel and Oki work as detectives and have ruined every job they were given. Their superior grants one last chance: a fugitive wanted for the killing of the mayor's child is hiding in a nursing home. The four will go in under cover and settle there. Four men who cannot do anything right, among the elderly. Muhadkly Acho directs. Bene Dion Rajagukguk, Boris Bokir, Indra Jegel and Oki Rengga play the four, with Tissa Biani in the cast. It is the sequel to the same quartet's Agak Laen from 2024. The first film became one of the most watched Indonesian productions ever, and this was made on the back of that. The four are in fact comedians who came from stand up and YouTube, and the humour rests less on written jokes than on the improvised rhythm between them. The shape is simple: an undercover job, the constant danger of exposure, and nobody able to manage the plan. The subject is entirely different from the first film. The nursing home opens a second strand beside the comedy: abandoned old people and the families who do not visit them. The film takes it seriously without going deeper. Who it is for: viewers who like Indonesian comedy and anyone who saw the first film. Who it is not for: the humour rests on local reference, the narrative is loose, and all four characters carry the same joke.
